NENEK sakti Sinto Gendeng, guru Pendekar 212 Wiro Sableng terkencing-kencing serabutan begitu melayang jatuh memasuki alam delapan ratus tahun silam Bhumi Mataram di kawasan selatan kaki Gunung Merapi. Tubuh kurus kering si nenek terguling-guling di tanah lalu tertumbuk dan tersandar di sebatang pohon mahoni. Dua kaki masih mengepit kuda lumping yang tadi ditunggangi sewaktu melesat dari dalam hutan di dekat Candi Prambanan.

"Oala! Bagaimana bisa kejadian begini rupa?!" Si nenek berucap setengah berseru lalu semburkan air kunyahan susur yang ada di dalam mulut. Dia memandang berkeliling. "Aku di mana? Apa aku sudah berada di Mataram Kuna, kerajaan delapan ratus tahun silam?"

Perlahan-lahan si nenek bangkit berdiri. Kuda lumping dikepit di ketiak kiri, tangan kanan rapikan empat tusuk konde perak yang menancap di kepalanya.
